Reflections Of Our Past And How It’s Molded Our Future
Dear Washington Avenue members,
Per our records, the group that provided the foundation for Washington Avenue Church of Christ first me as a congregation of the Lords people approximately 100 years ago, in the Fall of 1924. Since that time, our congregation has been faithfully meeting as a body of the Lords church.
Given this milestone, the eldership felt it’s appropriate to remember this event, take time to reflect on this history, reminisce about the milestones and times of celebration, and reflect how difficult times shaped our congregation and caused us to grown stronger as a church.
The day chosen for this is December 15, 2024
To allow for the special anniversary presentation and activities, our normal Sunday worship schedule will be adjusted.

12:15 - 1:30 Old Fashioned Potluck

2:45 - 3:15 - Congregational Singing
3:30 - Young Men Led Evening Worship

We’re confident you’ll enjoy the many historical photographs and other reminders, the presentation that’s been prepared, but more importantly, we want to allow this history to be an encouragement to all of us as we continue to serve the Lord… for the next 100 years. Please plan to join us!
Meats will be provided, but please bring a side dish and/or desserts to share.

There will be stations for the kids to test their knowledge on the lessons of the past year and for the kids to redeem their points they have earned. Come support our Faith Builders program, fellowship, and enjoy and ice cream treat!
WKYC PeeWee Weekend
Registration: Friday from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Departure: Sunday morning at 11:00 am after morning worship
Fee: $60 per camper and per parent/guardian
- Camp t-shirt included for both
